Alaska Chapter awarded the 2007-2008 ASSE Chapter Star
The American Society of Safety Engineers recognized Amanda Finnegan, Alaska Chapter President, 2007-2008 and the Alaska Chapter for setting the chapter apart as a true performer, with regard to Professional Development, Chapter Communication, and Superior Service, to earn the level of CHAPTER STAR 2007-2008.
2010 Alaska ASSE Safety Professional of the Year: David DeMay, CIH, CSP
David DeMay of EHS-Alaska Inc., an Eagle River, Alaska based environmental, health, and safety consulting firm, was recently named “Safety Professional of the Year” (SPY) by the Alaska Chapter of the American Society of Safety Engineers (ASSE). A Project Manager/HSE Consultant with EHS-Alaska, David is also an instructor for the OSHA Region X Training Center out of the University of Washington. He is board certified in the comprehensive practice of both Industrial Hygiene (CIH) and Safety (CSP), with over 25 years experience.
